Damp is a symptom, not a diagnosis
The moisture showing on your wall is the end of a story, not the beginning. Water can reach that point through many different routes, and each route demands a different response. Treating the symptom without understanding the route is how money gets spent twice.
The causes we investigate
Before recommending any form of damp proofing, we consider the full range of potential causes, including:
- Rainwater ingress through the building fabric

Why we do not start with chemical injection
Chemical damp-proof course injection has its place, but it answers only one question — genuine rising damp — and much low-level damp has a different cause. Injecting a wall whose problem is condensation, bridging or a leaking gutter changes nothing except the invoice.
Where investigation does confirm rising damp, we will explain the evidence and specify an appropriate system, including any associated replastering needed to deal with hygroscopic salts. Where it does not, we will tell you what the evidence actually points to.
